Getting Close

I have been looking for a white bubble clutch that I had in high school. I remember the store I purchased it from. I remember trying to determine the best way to carry a clutch with all my books.
This is the closest I have found so far. It is for sale here.

Dreams on Fire

Some times the hardest thing about dreams is you just got to sit back and let the universe do its work. Not too long ago, I made a list of some big dreams for myself. That list has been sitting in a sealed envelope like instructed, but still I was trying to work them instead of just forgettting about them, again as instructed. When I realized what I was doing, I decided I should just set them free and what better way is there than to set them a blazed. Of course, I still have my charm necklace with two dreams in lockets but those are there to remind me to be open when my dreams come a knocking.

For Sale at Buffalo Exchange

One of the bags I recently sold to Buffalo Exchange. Even though I haven't used this bag in years, I kinda want to buy it back.

Irregular Choice
Saw this quote while checking the Irregular Choice store in Soho. I love their shoes and its sense of whimsy.

I Heart Molly Ringwald

A few things about me ... I love "Pretty in Pink." I came of age during the brat pack era. I cried a little during this year's Oscar's tribute to John Hughes. I preordered "Getting the Pretty Back: Friendship, Family, and Finding the Perfect Lipstick"
And finally, I love advise books. In fact, I started collect them. My first purchase was Tiger Beat Presents Susan Dey's (from Partridge Family Days) Secrets on Boys, Beauty and Popularity.

Zig Zag-ing through Life

I have been a bit out of sorts the last few days. I was going through the motions and being more concern about Captain Craft's comfort then my own. I really hadn't realized what was happening until I asked a friend for a little advise. At the moment I said it out loud, it all made sense to why I wasn't getting satisfaction from my actions, why I was needier than usual, just plain uncomfortable and not flexible.
What the heck does that have to do with bags? Life is about zig-ing and zag-ing just like the bag above. I think I was just zig-ing, going though motions for him and ignoring myself. Once I realized I could zag and things shifted. With that one zag, I was open to others and could get back to being awesome me without worrying about everything else.

My Charm Necklace

I've been wearing this necklace nearly every day since the Mondo Beyondo class ended.
Key to the Charms (Left to Right):
Large Heart to remember "You Can Trust this Dream", St. Expedient medal from an amazing road trip to New Orleans, Pope John Paul II medal that a gift from a friend who visited Rome, a small heart locket holding a dream of big love, handmade medal listing various adjectives to the word "religious" purchased in the East Village during the early 90s, a Frida medal from my trip to Seattle where I saw her show every day I was there, and finally an anchor of hope. There used to be other charms like a sun with various stones set in it which I purchased in San Francisco and a silver swallow I got in Williamsburg ... One fell off and the other fell apart.
