Bag Fast Is Over

The goal for 2011 was to save up enough money (by not purchasing any bags) to get a Goyard Bag.

Sometime in June, I found a Goyard Bag at a local thrift store. I fondled it and thought it was either the real deal or a very good fake. I decided to break the bag fast. I made it through about 6 months before I broke and bought this $16 Goyard Bag.

As we enter 2012, I am still not sure if it is a real Goyard. A few people have declared that it is most likely is. More importantly, o was real enough for me to satisfy my goal of a Goyard Bag. And thankfully, the purchase didn't end the root of my resolve - No Bags in 2011.

Bag Fast @ the 4 Month Mark

It's a little hard to believe I haven't bought a bag for 4 long months. I am 1/3 of the way through my bag fast. And more importantly I have about 1/3 of the cash for my Goyard bag. It feels good.

PS I can't believe it took me like 3 months to come up with a good name for this project.

Hello 2011

It is 1.1.11 which means it is the first day of a full year of not purchasing a bag. I am gonna take it one day at a time.

The money would spend on bags will go into a special fund to purchase a Goyard bag in 2012. Wish me luck!
