Bag Fast Is Over

The goal for 2011 was to save up enough money (by not purchasing any bags) to get a Goyard Bag.

Sometime in June, I found a Goyard Bag at a local thrift store. I fondled it and thought it was either the real deal or a very good fake. I decided to break the bag fast. I made it through about 6 months before I broke and bought this $16 Goyard Bag.

As we enter 2012, I am still not sure if it is a real Goyard. A few people have declared that it is most likely is. More importantly, o was real enough for me to satisfy my goal of a Goyard Bag. And thankfully, the purchase didn't end the root of my resolve - No Bags in 2011.

Break in Bag Fast

I made through 6 months without purchasing one single bag. Today. I bought a bag for one of my dogs. It felt weird to have a new bag. Ursula is gonna love it. Thank you Joan at PS9.

Happy Pride

While I don't think G*D Hates Bags, I know he loves people who take hate and twists it around to funny. I would totally get this bag if not for the bag fast. Don't let that stop you, buy one here.

And yeah, New York politicians for doing the right thing.

Bag Fast @ the 4 Month Mark

It's a little hard to believe I haven't bought a bag for 4 long months. I am 1/3 of the way through my bag fast. And more importantly I have about 1/3 of the cash for my Goyard bag. It feels good.

PS I can't believe it took me like 3 months to come up with a good name for this project.

Comme des Garcons Tote

I wish I could add this bag to my collection. Sadly, I cannot because of Bag Fast 2011.
