Monogram Bag
Ah, my love for yellow continues with this recent purchase.
I remember this bag from my days of after-school retail at Hess Department Store. Didn't think the style was very interesting back then but some twenty years later, I have to have it. I tried to bargain with the little Bedford Avenue Street Vendor but she wouldn't budge. She wanted $8. I pulled out $7 thinking that she would take it when she saw the money. She wanted $8 and was willing to wait. I walked away but I couldn't resist the call of the bright yellow Liz Claiborne monogram bag. I went back and gave her the $8.
It was worth the extra dollar.

Sometimes Taking Photo is Better than Making a Purchase
Over the weekend, I saw this gorgeous fall bag for sale on street. It spoke to me in its texture and colors. However the price was a bit more than I wanted to spend so I took a picture. Actually, I took three pictures. Now reflecting back on the bag, I made the right choice. It is a great bag but not for every day given what I carry each day and not unique enough for the collection. And as my friend said, sometimes taking a photo is better that purchasing.

Trip to Jersey Shore in Bags
Tilt your computer 90 degrees to view this photo at the proper angle.
Return your computer to its original position.
I have recently taken to aspiring to being the perfect packer. What is the perfect packer? It is someone who packs just the right combination of clothing, accessories and bags for every occasion on that trip. It also means that you don't overpack by bringing 5 pairs of shoes for an overnight trip or bringing only black clothing. However there is nothing wrong with either overpacking with shoes or too much black. Once I went to an Art Conference in Sheboygan Wisconsin and packing all black helped to identify myself as part of the New York Art Crowd.
Of course the first step to being a perfect packer is to pick the best bags for the trip.
Last weekend, I went to the Jersey Shore and managed first to pick the most perfect weekend bag for this trip. I also managed to incorporate a fine beach bag/travel bag.

Welcome to A Perfect Bag Site, Blog & Such
This site will be a celebration of my love of bags -- tote bags, hand bags, clutches, make-up bags, vintage bags, recently purchased bags, bags I aspire to own and vintage bags I adore. Of course, this site will be my home base of sorts to images and text that inspires me, updates on VALENCIA, my precious brussels griffon, and other enterprises. Grab a glass of chilled gewurztraminer (the official summer wine of aperfectbag.com) and let's begin...
