A Little More Love for Louis

It's a Louis Vuitton metro card holder. The only Louis item that I purchased. It was a gift to myself for my hard work at the US Open in 2003.

LeSportsac Bag makes the Perfect Vacation Bag

The little dog and I are heading to the shore for a few days of fun at the beach. I will catch up with new bags when I return. Stay cool. x0x0.

My First Love was Louis

This bag was a gift from my Dad and Step-Mom. I think it was for my seventeenth birthday. As you can see the bag and the box it came in are still in pretty good condition. That's quality.

Sample Sales are Awesome

Some time last year, I visited the Le Sportsac sample sale. Le Sportsac has always be a favorite from way back in the day. The sale was fun after waiting over an hour to get in. I quickly realized that it would take even longer to leave if I paid by credit card since the had only one credit card machine working. I counted my cash so I knew what my budget was and could cruise through that line. I was able to purchase 4 bags and this was one of them. It is great for those weekend trips or those days where you need to bring too much work home with you. I like the mix of colors and the hexagon design with roundish shape.

Barbie Bag with a Twist

It easily could be a Barbie bag with its pink color scheme. However take a closer moment to see that Barbie has raven hair and then look in the corner to see her wearing a jilbab.

Thanks Debbie. This is a great find. Check out her site here

Now, This is a Gift Bag

This was the Whitney Museum's 2005 Art Party gift bag. It was a collaboration between bag maven Kate Spade and artist Ellen Harvey. Isn't awesome?

Event Bag

As a sometimes event planner, I have certain supplies that I find essential to a successful event. This bag is one of those supplies. Sure I over paid for the first version of this bag but it all worked out when I purchased a second bag far cheaper. I am not sure what the math looks like but it felt like the right thing to do.

A Few of My Favorite Things in One Bag

This bag features a few of my favorite things; a sparkling Virgin Mary and many Saint medals. However the best thing about this bag is it is a plastic straw bag purchased in Mexico. It was made by crafts women in Oaxaca.

Lady's Pride Set

I got some disappointing news toward the end of the day so once I got home I was looking for comfort. These Lady's Prides bags bring me a lot of comfort. Well let's be serious any bag brings me comfort.

It is also always special treat when you find a matching set of bag and make up bag.

Change is Coming

Today Obama won the Democratic nomination for President of the United States. This is big.

As Obama said today, "...I want to make sure you understand what's ahead of us. Earlier tonight, John McCain outlined a vision of America that's very different from ours -- a vision that continues the disastrous policies of George W. Bush...But this is our moment. This is our time. Our time to turn the page on the policies of the past and bring new energy and new ideas to the challenges we face. Our time to offer a new direction for the country we love..."

Let's get working!
